The process

How a Visa Run Works, Step by Step

Five stages, from your first message to arriving back in Ho Chi Minh City. At each stage you'll know what we're doing and what we need from you.

  1. Send an inquiry

Tell us your nationality, where you are staying, your preferred date and how many people are travelling. No passport scans at this stage.

  2. Confirm the itinerary

We reply with a suitable route, the trip plan, what the price covers and what it does not. You confirm in writing.

  3. Prepare your documents

We send a checklist for your route and check your passport and visa details with you before departure. Choose a visa package and we handle your Vietnam e-visa.

  4. Departure day

Pickup at the agreed place and time, travel to the border, then exit and entry procedures. You present your own documents at each counter.

  5. Return to Ho Chi Minh City

After the border authorities complete their checks, we travel back to the city together.

Border day, hour by hour

Two departures a day on the Ho Chi Minh – Moc Bai route.

Option 1

Afternoon trip

Most popular. Leave at 11:30, back around 20:00.

  1. Depart from Ho Chi Minh City

Your private car picks you up from your home, hotel or agreed meeting point. On the way, our team explains each step of the border procedure.

  2. Arrive at Moc Bai

Queue for the Vietnam exit procedure. With the onsite assistance add-on, our staff guides you through it in person.

  3. Exit Vietnam

As soon as you have the Vietnam exit stamp, send us a clear photo of it. This lets our team start checking your Vietnam e-visa straight away.

  4. Enter Cambodia and wait for the e-visa

If we arranged your Cambodia e-visa, just show it at the counter. Otherwise, get the visa at the border and pay there (USD 35, about VND 1,100,000; USD and VND both accepted). You wait briefly on the Cambodian side while we track your Vietnam e-visa and keep you updated.

  5. Receive the e-visa and re-enter Vietnam

Once your Vietnam e-visa is approved, print it and go back to the Vietnam immigration counter. Before leaving the area, send us a photo of your new entry stamp so we can check it.

  6. Drive back

The car takes you back to Ho Chi Minh City.

  7. Arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City

Drop-off at your meeting point or home.

Option 2

Early trip

Beat the queues. Leave at 05:00–05:30, back around 15:30.

Times are typical, not guaranteed. Border queues and e-visa approval times vary, and the order of steps can change on an officer's instruction.

1. You send an inquiry

Use the inquiry form or WhatsApp. We need your nationality, where you're staying, your preferred date and the number of travellers. That's enough to recommend a route. Please don't send passport numbers or scans at this stage.

It helps if you also know the date your current permitted stay ends. You'll find it on your entry stamp or e-visa details.

2. We confirm the itinerary

We reply within 1 hour with a written plan: route, pickup point and time, expected timings, the price, what's included and what isn't. Nothing is booked until you confirm the plan.

3. You prepare your documents

We send the checklist for your route. If you book a visa package, we handle the Vietnam e-visa application and arrange your Cambodia e-visa before the trip. If you arrange visas yourself, apply for a Vietnam e-visa that lists Moc Bai as the entry gate and check Cambodia's entry rules for your nationality. Before departure we go through your documents with you so gaps show up in the city, not at the border.

See the full visa run checklist.

4. Departure day

We meet at the agreed pickup point and travel to the border. The schedule for your route is in your itinerary. Daily. The afternoon trip leaves at 11:30 and is back around 20:00. The early trip leaves at 05:00–05:30 and is back around 15:30.

At the border

A land border crossing has two sides. You pass through Vietnamese exit formalities, cross to the neighbouring country and complete its entry formalities, then do the same in reverse to come back. You present your own passport and documents at every counter. Officers may ask about the purpose of your trip and your plans in Vietnam; answer truthfully.

We explain beforehand what to expect at each counter. We cannot stand in for you, speed up an official process or influence an officer's decision, and anyone who says they can should be treated with caution.

5. Return to Ho Chi Minh City

Once you have been admitted back into Vietnam, we travel back to the city together. Keep your passport and entry details somewhere safe, and note the new end date of your permitted stay.
